Bawa Wasilatu from Yigantou basic wins national best dancer l coconutnews24

    Bawa Wasilatu from Yigantou basic was adjudged the national best dancer in choreography at the just ended national cultural festival held in Tamale, she was adjudged the best dancer from the observer team at the grounds. This information was revealed to Radford FM this morning on Masie breakfast show by the district cultural coordinator Mr. Bayugo Tanko John popularly Ras Ottokori. When he was asked about the position of the region, he said this year they did not allocate positions but a guideline was developed to highlight the major strengths and weaknesses of the participants.
    Mr. Tanko said this year the region presented 59 contingents out of which Sissals east presented 24 and other districts in the region presented the rest to make up the total number. He said Sissala east represented four key areas in the whole festival, they include; choreography dance, still-life drawings, sowing, Art exhibition and cook art. He said the region looking from far, he can say without any fair that if positions were to be given, they will not get below fourth positions. Mr. Tanko said the trip in all was good and was however quick to add that there were some challenges.
    Mr. Tanko pleaded with the district educational office to try and provide first aid the next time they have an exercise like this nature.
