Education they say is the backbone for every country, it was once reported that if you educate your child you educate the future of Ghana. Due to this relevance and importance of education, the deputy regional minister for upper region Hon. Amidu Issahaku Chinnia have taken it upon himself to better the standards of schools we have in upper west region. Early day, for his love for education he presented 20 typewriters to Tumu senior high/ technical school which also happened to be a school he completed some 22 years ago. He made the donations at the school in the presents of the acting head master Mr. Nansia Kukura, staff of the school, NPP party executives and all students of the school. In his speech, he said they requested for them after starting sectarian course last year without typewriters.
The deputy regional minister in his speech also acknowledged that, due to the introduction of free education, this year students of Tumu Sectech reported early because parents burden was taken by government by the introduction of the policy. He said that was the feedback he got from the school, he also said from the information he got little over 500 students were enjoying this free education from the school.
